Edwina
Wood
Edwina was raised in Kenya and has been painting African scenes, wildlife
and people since the age of 22. She has never had any formal training but
has a natural talent and affinity to create paintings that capture a mood
expressing life and its humour. The african influence comes through very strongly.
She paints in acrylics, oils, mixed media and collage. She has exhibited in
Canada, Namibia and Tanzania. She currently resides in Perth and has a studio
on Otty Lake. She is the Aunt of Featured Artist Catherine Simpson, coming
as they both do from a family that has always painted and created - no television
in the african bush!
