Linda has been painting since attending art school in Toronto in the 1970s. She has been living in the Ompah area since the late 1970s and has been developing her current painting style there for the past 15 years. She works primarily in watercolours and acrylics. What inspires Linda are the mystical moments one experiences when encountering the homely familiar things that surround us. Suddenly one is overwhelmed by the complexity richness and mysterious meaning in the ordinary. Her subjects are usually found in her home, her garden and the lovely woods and fields of Ompah.
