Heather
Pate
Heather Pate, daughter of successful painter Ron Okey, grew up surrounded by
art. During her summers spent at the east coast while her father painted, she
developped a fondness for the ocean and the east coast.
Other than taking drawing lessons at Sir Sanford Flemming college in high school, Heather is a self-taught artist. Her oil paintings are most often noted for being tranquil and soft with good use of light. She paints a wide range of subject matter, including landscapes, seascapes and figurative work.
Heather's
paintings have been included in many shows across Ontario, as well as being
represented by galleries in Toronto, Hamilton, Cambridge and Ottawa. Her work
has been included in private and corporate collections around the world.
