After a career restoring heritage buildings
in Ireland, David moved to Perth where he continued in the trade working with
some very talented local craftspeople. In 1989 he was invited to develop and
teach the Heritage Carpentry Program at Algonquin College.
After 21 years David retired from the college and has turned his hand to his
first love, making custom furniture, especially rocking chairs. Who would
have thought that his grade 7 shop class would have lead into a lifelong passion
for working with wood?
