Rosemary Leach
Rosemary Leach's paintings are a whimsical celebration of everyday objects. Her palette is bold and and her animated compositions exaggerate perspective, taking pleasure from life's crooked lines. Her paintings bring vitatlity to the space they inhabit, captivating viewers with an optimistic view of domestic life.
Rosemary's background includes teaching high school English, training in illustration and pottery at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. She currently teaches at the Nepean Creative Arts Centre for the City of Ottawa and is happy to be a new member of MASC, teaching painting workshops in Ottawa area schools, as well as running her own workshops. She also does laundry, bakes biscotti, picks up the socks and mysterious plastic objects. She lives in Almonte with her little gems, Max and Frankie and author Jacob Berkowitz.
